Founded in 1976, Saint Louis College of Music is now one of the most recognized institutions of music education in Europe. Each year it welcomes more than 1,800 students from all over the world.
The College is distinguished by a stable faculty of more than 150 professionals active in the main fields of music and entertainment, nationally and internationally. Since 1998, the institution has been chaired by Maestro Stefano Mastruzzi. Under his leadership, Saint Louis has developed a training model that integrates educational quality, practical experience and international openness.
Saint Louis College of Music is the first private institution authorized by the Ministry of University and Research to award Level I and II Academic Diplomas, which are equivalent to bachelor’s and master’s degrees and have the same value as Conservatory Diplomas.
The ministerial authorization, formalized by Decrees no. 144 of August 1, 2012 and no. 246 of March 28, 2013, covers academic pathways in:
- Jazz
- Popular Music
- Electronic Music
- Sound Technician
- Composition and Applied Music
- Classical music with specialization in classical guitar.
Saint Louis’ educational offer is today among the most diverse in Europe, with over 360 active courses.
Alongside academic training, the College invests ininternationalization, record and concert productions, andprofessional placement of students alongside internationally renowned artists.
Saint Louis also promotes jazz and popular culture through seminars and meetings open to the public, alongside research activities, digitization of cultural heritage and social responsibility projects, with a focus on music therapy and cultural integration.
In 2012, Saint Louis College of Music joined theAEC – Association Européenne des Conservatoires, a network that brings together leading European conservatories and music institutes. A recognition that strengthens its international standing in music education.
The path to institutional recognition began in 1994 with the City of Rome. Continued in 2005 with MIUR and consolidated with European ISO 9001 quality certification and accreditation with the Lazio Region as a vocational training institution.
Saint Louis is also accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), a body that certifies the quality of educational offerings and adherence to global academic standards.
Alongside academic courses, the College offers cross-curricular offerings for students of all ages and levels. It also includes customized pathways, highly specialized programs for live and studio performance, and the Teen Academy, dedicated to high school students who wish to enter academic pathways.
