A Day with Lee Konitz

In the film, in addition to American saxophonist Lee Konitz and members of the Space Jazz Trio-pianist Enrico Pieranunzi, double bassist Enzo Pietropaoli, Swiss drummer Alfred Kramer-features producer and founder of the Philology label, Paolo Piangiarelli.

Lee between the 1980s and 1990s recorded seventeen albums with the Italian label dedicated to jazz (founded in Macerata in 1987), accompanied by numerous musicians from the Italian jazz scene, including, Enrico Pieranunzi (noteworthy is the album recorded as a duo in 1988 entitled “Solitudes”), Tiziana Ghiglioni, Renato Sellani, Augusto Mancinelli, Franco D’Andrea, Stefano Battaglia.
