The program for the eighth edition of the Bergamo Jazz Festival included the Flavio and Franco Ambrosetti Orchestra, with arrangements by Swiss pianist George Gruntz, saxophonist Gianni Basso, the saxophone duo formed by Maurizio Giammarco and Mario Schiano, pianist Patrizia Scascitelli
About the Italian pianist, the journalist writes – “Patrizia Scascitelli will be the only woman at the festival … in Italy is basically the only woman who is really serious about jazz. And what he plays … is avant-garde jazz, which manages to interest even young people in colleges in the United States when they occasionally go there to educate themselves.”
