Jazz Festival at Folkstudio program of the sixth edition (1976-77 season) of the Jazz Festival organized at Folkstudio in Rome
The review brought together musicians from Rome’s jazz area. These include the Roman New Orleans Jazz Band, vibraphonist Puccio Sboto’s quartet, with Umberto Fiorentino on guitar, Riccardo Del Fra on double bass, Stefano Fanelli on drums, English pianist and Rome resident Martin Joseph, Spirale, Tommaso Vittorini’s Living Concert Big Band with guest Mario Schiano, the Cadmo trio, pianist Patrizia Scascitelli‘s quintet with saxophonist Giancarlo Maurino and double bassist Riccardo Romei, saxophonist Maurizio Giammarco’s trio, pianist Enrico Pieranunzi’s trio, trombonist Danilo Terenzi‘s jazz quartet
Note: Managed since 1967 by Giancarlo Cesaroni, a chemist with a passion for the blues, Folkstudio was in the 1970s the venue of choice for the Roman music scene, particularly of an underground imprint
