DJ Vinyl

Mix correctly in time knowing all the theoretical and practical notions to undertake the DJ profession.

From musical selection to analogue mixing techniques with vinyl and turntables, with DJ set simulations in different musical styles: Disco, Nu disco, Techno, Deep House, Tech house up to the multifaceted DJ set as the key to interpreting the track.

At the end of the course, several DJsets will be organized within Saint Louis events in numerous clubs in the capital city.

  • Song structure, analysis and vinyl structure
  • Instrumentation 1: the mixer, features, functions and use
  • Instrumentation 2: the turntable, components and functions
  • Turntable mixing techniques: analog mixing
  • Mixing 1: pre-listening, the beat launch, asynchrony correction
  • Mixing 2: the timing
  • Mixing 3: mixing, frequencies of sounds, passing, mixing long, short
  • DJ set simulations (tutoring, correction, analysis)
  • Disco mixing, Nu disco, various techniques.
  • Mixing house, techno, deep house, tech house, various techniques.
  • The mix of multiple genres, the multifaceted djset as the key to interpreting the track

Calendar of meetings 2025/26:

From March 9, 2026, 12 meetings of 3 hours each, on Mondays from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with weekly frequency

Sara Provitali

Sara Provitali, a graduate of Saint Louis College of Music in Pop Singing (Level I) and Songwriting (Level II), is a singer-songwriter and performer. Since 2015 she has performed as a residence singer in prestigious venues in Rome and composes original music. Always fascinated by electronic music, she specialized through Vinyl DJ courses to the practice of analog DJ sets on vinyl, parallel to the use of digital. In a short time she became a resident DJ of various renowned locations in the capital.
