The guitar jazz trio has a solid history behind it, from Jim Hall’s trio to Joe Pass’s to Pat Metheny’s and John Scofield’s.
Through the analysis and performance of compositions of gradual difficulty, led by an exceptional trio – Bebo Ferra on guitar, Furio Di Castri on double bass, Stefano Bagnoli on drums – problems related to the rhythmic and dynamic aspect, interplay, development of solo parts and harmony will be analyzed, in a formation in which the guitar is both a solo instrument and an instrument deputed to manage harmony.
