Master Diploma
Two-year Master’s specialization in Live electronics. Development of one’s compositional matrix and artistic identity as an electroacoustic musician.
The entire specialization curriculum is tailored to the artistic inclinations of the trainees, aimed at creating real job opportunities with installations, live electronics performances, and live performances at festivals and theaters.

The course is limited to a maximum of 20 students each year, selected from bachelor’s degree programs or through auditions.
You will gain extensive skills in composing and orchestrating with the latest software and libraries, and in shaping sound through synthesis and/or sampling techniques. This includes developing real-time processing applications for interaction with voice or one or more acoustic instruments, analyzing scores and flowcharts for live electronics, and working with Max8 and Kyma for implementation, modifications, variations, and practical use.
- Electroacoustic Composition: Theory and practice of Electronic Music in graphical object environments such as Max, Kyma, and Pure Data. Spectrum modeling, temporal shifts and delay lines, Fourier analysis and resynthesis, MC wrapper, Spectral Processing Lab, using Jitter for spectrum creation and transformation, Spectral Blur, Kyma Digital Sound Workstation, Generation Sources, modifiers, and recombiners.
- Improvisation and Interactive Composition: Study and practice of ensembles aimed at improvisation and real-time composition, utilizing multiple strategies, from interactive assisted composition to ecosystemic procedures and immersive listening.
- Live Electronics: Development of real-time processing applications dedicated to interaction with voice or one or more acoustic instruments. Implementation, modifications, variations, and practice with Max8 and Kyma, software engineering, implementation and porting with Max and Pure Data, ecosystemic composition, and machine learning.
- Programming languages: Programming in non-graphic object development environments such as SuperCollider, Processing, Arduino, and JavaScript.
- Interactive systems and artistic installations: From the prepared instrument to the augmented instrument, The Devices of Ciat-Lonbarde, Sidrax, Tetrax, Cocoquantus, Arius Blaze, and the Illuminist Garden, Ideation and design of sound objects, Interaction and digital augmentation, invention-based lutherie and automatic orchestras, kinetic sculptures, sound art, and multimedia performances.
At the end of the master’s degree program, the student can complete their advanced studies with a specialization program (authorized by the MUR: Ministry of University and Research)
