Master of Music
The master’s degree programs in Popular Music are customized based on each student’s musical inclinations, aimed at developing their artistic personality and focused on artistic productions, both recording and live performances.
Renowned artists will lead the ensembles, allowing students to perform alongside top performers, start their professional careers, and enhance their resumes. All students will complete their studies with a recording of their own artistic project.

Attendance Approximately 300 hours of classes per year, mostly held on a fortnightly basis and scheduled over 3-4 consecutive days.

It is a limited students number course, open to a maximum of 5 students per year, coming from Saint Louis 1st Cycle Academic courses or selected through audition.
Highly specialized educational and experiential program focused on the student’s instrument. Each student participates in multiple orchestral ensembles, performing in various professional settings such as festivals and theaters as a sideman for prominent artists, completing their training and entering the job market. Each student will receive step-by-step guidance in producing their original artistic projects, from writing and arranging to rehearsals, recording, mixing, and ultimately publishing.
- Pop-rock guitar: 70 hours of one-to-one classes with one or more teachers of the student’s choice
- Artistic production: Each student will have access to a recording studio to produce their artistic project, collaborating with students from the sound engineering and electronic music courses.
- Professional Ensamble: Exploration of contemporary and experimental styles and languages, not strictly tied to tradition, featuring international artists and guests.
- Composition and Live in studio: A creative workshop focused on composing, arranging, and producing an original recording project.
- Second instrument: Study of a second instrument with a focus on multi-instrumentalism, choosing from drums, piano, singing, electric bass.
- Study plan personalization: Creation of a customized study plan by selecting from over 200 different courses offered by various departments at Saint Louis, providing a unique opportunity to broaden skills and build a future career capable of operating in multiple areas of the Music Business.
At the end of the master’s degree program, the student can complete their advanced studies with a specialization program (authorized by the MUR: Ministry of University and Research)

- Arranger for small and medium ensembles
- take part in Public Examinations (concorsi) for music teaching (upon obtaining the 24 university or academic credits in anthropo-psycho-pedagogical disciplines and teaching methodologies and technologies)
Two types of ensembles: a permanent ensemble that rehearses throughout the year and performs in clubs in Rome with the instructor as part of the band, and a large orchestral ensembles that concentrates rehearsals into one or two full-immersion weeks for concerts in theaters and recording productions. In previous academic years, the master’s degree students have performed with Beppe Vessicchio, Tollak, Federico Malaman, Tullio De Piscopo, Antonella Ruggiero, Diodato, Gegè Telesforo, Serena Brancale, Saturnino.
