Emanuele Melisurgo was born in Naples on October 18, 1968.

He began studying music and piano as an autodidact and subsequently undertook the study of jazz and saxophone with Maurizio Giammarco.

He won a scholarship at the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome, where he graduated with the teachers: S. Deidda, P. Iodice, R. Giuliani, S. Satta, G. Savelli, E. Pieranunzi.

He then attended Siena Jazz courses as a scholar under the guidance of the teachers: Franco D’Andrea, Stefano Battaglia, Pietro Tonolo. He graduated in classical saxophone at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome.

He has played in various Italian jazz clubs such as: Alexander Platz, Rome; Gregory, Roma; Bourbon Street Club, Napoli; Otto Jazz Club, Naples; Around Midnight, Napoli and Blue Note, Milan.
