Emanuele Melisurgo was born in Naples on October 18, 1968.

He began the study of music and piano as a self-taught student and later undertook the study of jazz and saxophone with M° Maurizio Giammarco.

Won a scholarship to the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome, where he perfected his studies with the masters: S. Deidda, P. Iodice, R. Giuliani, S. Satta, G. Savelli, E. Pieranunzi.

He then attended Siena Jazz courses as a scholar under the guidance of the teachers: Franco D’Andrea, Stefano Battaglia, Pietro Tonolo. He graduated in classical saxophone at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome.

Emanuele Melisurgo has played in various Italian jazz clubs such as: Alexander Platz, Rome; Gregory, Rome; Bourbon Street Club, Naples; Otto Jazz Club, Naples; Around Midnight, Naples; Blue Note, Milan.
