SOUND TECHNICIAN

Eugenio Vatta active since 1989 as musician, keyboardist, arranger and producer together with Andrea Benedetti and Lory D for their label Sound Never Seen, recording several vinyls including “Antysistem” for BMG.

His passion is electronic sounds sampling, sterialization and quadraphony of sounds.
His activity continues with Andrea Benedetti with whom he will found together with other musicians and sound creators the group Frame. With Frame he produced the vinyl “Experience” for Mystic, receiving much acclaim abroad.
Produces the CD “Already Being My Sleeping House” soundtrack of Claudio Marani’s installation of the same name for Elena Missiroli.

For Ricordi he made the CD “Ambienti sonori.”
He will later take an active part in the Fragments of Chaos, Entropy, Jazzbit. Alterego Ensemble.
His approach with Live music always has the vision of quadraphonic sound, often making use of video projections.

Eugenio Vatta has collaborated with international contemporary music and art artists as a director and sound technician: Terry Riley, Frederick Rzesky, Frankie Hi Energy, Pan Sonic, Gavin Bryars, Mathmos, John De Leo, Vladimir Luxuria, Alvin Curran, Jonathan Harvey, Philip Jeck, Bernhard Lang, Riccardo Nova, Giovanni Verrando, Maurizio Pisati, Micol Assael, Mika Vaino, Scanner, William Basinski, Alvin Lucier.

He produces as a sound engineer more than 300 CDs for Italian and internationally renowned Jazz artists.
He collaborated for years with the Via Veneto Jazz label with which he made CDs with leading Italian and international jazz musicians including Sergio Cammariere with whom he went to Sanremo. He is currently engaged in making masters for the prog label BlackWidow.
As an author, he also made numerous soundtracks for Rai Cinema, Rai Trade and made as a sound technician recordings of some of Maestro Carlo Crivelli’s soundtracks.
