Federica Michisanti, bassist and double bass player, studied in Rome at the University of Music and Saint Louis College of Music and at Siena Jazz and Città di Castello seminars.

• He studied classical music with Maestro Andrea Pighi.
• He won Top jazz 2018 in the new Italian talent category.
• In 2019, he won the Siae special award for originality in compositional research.
• He won Top Jazz 2020 with his Horn trio, considered the best Italian group of the year.
• He won Top jazz 2023 as best musician, best ensemble and best Italian record of the year.
• He has recorded several records, including five under his own name.

The fifth of these, titled “Afternoons” and recorded for Parco della Musica Records together with his new “French Quartet,” features Louis Sclavis, with whom he has been collaborating steadily for a few years now, Vincent Courtois and Michele Rabbia at his side.

In 2022/2023 she was part of Ornella Vanoni’s “Women and Music” Tour.
In 2021 he played on the European tour with Dave Douglas and Franco D’Andrea’s quartet, with Dan Weiss on drums.

• • He has played with Dominique Pifarèly, a famous French violinist and ECM artist with whom he collaborates as a duo.
  • He played with Nicolas Masson, also an ECM artist.
  • He has collaborated with Bob Moses and Greg Burk.
  • He has been a member of the National Young Talent Orchestra conducted by Paolo Damiani.
  • Federica Michisanti in April 2016 participated in the recording of the album Homage to Janis Joplin – Jazz Corner, Jazz Italiano live at the Casa del Jazz in which a piece co-signed by her is also contained.

Teacher at the St Louis College of Music in Rome, for whose label Camilla records he recorded a record with Amedeo Tommasi, among others.
Lecturer at Merano Jazz Academy summer master classes.
