Giuseppe Tortora, cellist, composer and music consultant. Graduated in Cello from the Conservatory of Music S. Cecilia, in Chamber Music from the Conservatory of Music S. Cecilia, in Jazz Music from the Conservatory of Music A. Casella of L’Aquila. Bachelor’s degree in Musical Disciplines with a focus on Jazz, from the Conservatory of Music A. Casella of L’Aquila. Big Band Arranging course at Saint Louis College of music in Rome. Course in Musical Events Organization in Music, organized by JazzIt magazine.

In the Pop field he has recorded, collaborated and played on tour for: L.Pausini, E. Ramazzotti, Elisa, C. Baglioni, R. Zero, F. Mannoia M.Mengoni, M.Biondi, Max Gazzè, M.Rei, A.Venditti, G. Paoli, A. Celentano, S.Cammariere, Carboni, D.Silvestri.

He was Orchestra Manager for Laura Pausini from 2013-2016, for Fiorella Mannoia 2010-2012, Mario Biondi Tour 2007.

In the Jazz field, he has collaborated and recorded with the likes of: Lenny White, Stefano Di Battista, F. Bosso, Javier Girotto, Rita Marcotulli, Antonio Faraò, R. Gatto, D. Rea, M. Siniscalco, Aires Tango, R.Fassi, Dado Moroni, Gianluca Renzi, High Five, Daniele Scannapieco, Ibrido Hot Five.

Co-writer and cello soloist of the soundtracks for the films: “Expectations and Changes” (2016), “Astro Samanta” (2014) docu film about Samanta Cristoforetti, “Coast Guard” (2014) commercial, ” Slaves” (2013) documentary, “The Nuclear Question” (2009) documentary “The Moon Witches” (2007) documentary, “Rosa Funzeca” (2003), “Hotel Dajti” (2002).

In classical, he has collaborated with orchestras such as the “Teatro dell’Opera” in Rome , “I Virtuosi di S.Cecilia” , “Philharmonic Orchestra” of Turin.

On television, he played from 1986 to 2016 in the most important television programs both Rai and Mediaset: Festival di San Remo from ’96 to 2002, Tutti gli zeri del mondo, Ti lascio una canzone, La Corrida, Festivalbar, Laura&Paola, Carramba che sorpresa and many other programs, often covering the role of I Violoncello.
