Music Business
Producer, publisher, manager and music consultant, Massimo Bonelli founded and manages iCompany. He has been the organizer and artistic director of the May Day Concert in Rome since 2015.
He is the creator and artistic director of the Ciao – Lucio Dalla Review sponsored by the Lucio Dalla Foundation, which is held every year on March 4 in Bologna and of which he also produces the TV version for Rai 1.
He is also the organizer of the Fabrizio De André Award sponsored by the De André Foundation, which is held annually in Rome, in the square named after the great songwriter.
He is the artistic director of the Festival Youth! Argentario than in Porto Santo Stefano (GR). Since 2019, he has been the artistic-musical director of the Florence Civil Economy Festival.
Since 2018 he has been the creator, producer and coordinator of Casa SIAE, the structure-hospitality that is installed a few meters from the Ariston Theater during the Sanremo Festival.
In 2024 he was artistic director and event manager of Safety Love, an event produced by the Rubes Triva Foundation and integrated into the Pesaro City of Culture 2024 program.
Of the event, he also produced the format aired on Rai 1 in July 2024.He was in charge of the executive production of TaoBuk Gala 2024 at the Greek Theater in Taormina, of which he also produced the TV version for Rai 1. For three editions (2022 to 2024) he was the artistic director of the Cous Cous Fest in San Vito Lo Capo (TP).
In 2023, he oversaw artistic direction of the Brescia inaugural ceremony of BEBS2023 (Bergamo-Brescia City of Culture 2023) and executive production of the event “I’ll be with you,” Napoli’s Scudetto celebration aired live on TV on Rai 2 on June 4, 2023.
On September 10, 2023, he directed the production of the TIME FOR CHANGE event that took place at the Colosseum Archaeological Park in Rome, with guest, among others, Annie Lennox.
Also in 2023, he was the artistic director of the Kaulonia Tarantella Festival, a flagship event of Calabrian folk music that he had already curated from 2010 to 2016.
He was also the creator and producer of the programs Tv Tonica and Magazzini Musicali aired on Rai 2, Rai Radio 2 and Rai Play. Produces since 2020 the television transposition of the Tenco Prize (on Rai 3 in 2020, on Rai 2 in 2021 and on Rai 1 in 2022, 2023, 2024).
He also produced the first TV version of Meraviglioso Modugno (Rai 1, September 2022), and La Notte della Taranta 2020 (broadcast on Rai 2).
He is also involved in training and outreach through masterclasses and lectures that he has given and still gives at La Sapienza University of Rome, Università Cattolica, IED Milan, Saint Louis, 24ore Business, Sanremo Music Business and various other private training facilities for artists and industry professionals.
In 2020, ROI EDIZIONI published “Current Music – How to Build Your Music Career in the Digital Age,” its first book.
