COMPUTER MUSIC COMPOSITION

Silvio Relandini graduated in Environmental and Resource Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at “La Sapienza” University of Rome, a musician, has been professionally dedicated to music technologies since the age of 17.

1995 regularly holds courses and seminars throughout Italy at public institutions, music schools, reviews, festivals, High Musical Perfection Courses, Sound Designing, Sound Engineering and of course Music Informatics.

Professional Experience in Computer Science and Music Technology.

1999 is educational manager of MidiWare, a leading Italian distributor of music technology.

2009 was educational manager for Italy for Steinberg dealing with the certification of specialized teachers on behalf of Steinberg (the world’s leading music software company).

  • 1999, through MidiWare, is the contact person in Italy for Sibelius, a software house that produces the electronic music notation system of the same name.
  • 2007 is Beta tester on behalf of software houses Sibelius, Steinberg, Celemony for the following music software: Sibelius, Cubase, Nuendo, Melodyne.
  • 2011 he was appointed Endorcer by Magix, a German sound technology company.
  • 2012 √® Certified Trainer di Steinberg (software ed hardware certified learning).

Silvio Relandini, professional experience in education specializing in music technology innovation

2001 edited, on behalf of the Inst. ital. Music Informatics, the educational coordination of 36 ESF professional training courses specializing in Sound Science and Musical Acoustics, Music Informatics, MIDI sequencing.

2005 organized on IITM the first training course in Virtual Orchestration gaining great interest in the academic world.

2009 taught the Virtual Orchestration course at the S. Cecilia Conservatory in Rome, as part of the diploma in Applied Music, the first in Italy held in a music academy.

2011 and 2012 holds a master’s degree in virtual orchestration at L’Istituto Musicale V. Bellini in Caltanissetta as part of the Great Signatures for Education event.

2013 taught the audio technique course at La Scuola Germanica in Rome (high school classes).

He is director of the Italian Institute for Music Technology (IITM). He curates on behalf of the Videoplay companies.

In 2007, he trained on digital technologies to AITS (Ass. Italiana tecnici del Suono) technicians, who do live grip and audio editing for Cinecittà.

Silvio Relandini oversaw, as head of music technology training related to universities and conservatories, the European project Net Music (2007-09), Leonardo da Vinci European program.

  • 2011 designs on behalf of the V. Bellini Musical Institute of Caltanissetta the first-level master’s degree in “Applied Technologies for Music.” The master’s degree was approved by the MUR in January 2012.
  • Instructional coordinator of applied music technology courses held at the Forum Academy within the prestigious Forum Music Village studios in Rome, founded in 1969 by Ennio Morricone and Louis Bacalov.
  • 2014 teaches music technology at Saint Louis College of Music in Rome as part of the academic courses in Applied Composition to Images.
  • 2015 designs for the S. Cecilia Conservatory of Music in Rome, with the cooperation of Forum Music Village in Rome.

  • 2008 produces for Hoepli the book Cubase 4.1 the official guide of Steinberg educational Italy.
  • 2010 for ABEditor produces the book Sibelius 6 the step-by-step guide.
  • 2011 writes the books Cubase 6 Lessons, Sibelius 7 step by step, which he decided to publish free of charge on the IITM website.
  • 2013 writes the book Cubase 7 Lessons in ebook format with example and practice projects. He writes sound designing articles for the electronic magazine Sounday.
  • Writes the technical articles with respect to major software being distributed at MidiWare
  • He writes Music Technology articles for the magazine Note Musicali edited by the Inst. Musicale V. Bellini of Caltanissetta.
