Eleonora Strino, Federico Malaman, and the ensembles formed as part of EJSC—European Jazz’s Cool 2026—will perform in concert on September 11, 2026, on stage at the Casa del Jazz in Rome.

The ensembles formed during the Jazz European Jazz’s Cool 2026 advanced artistic residency, led by Eleonora Strino—a jazz guitarist and the first woman to join the legendary trio *The Great Guitarists*, founded by Barney Kessel— Charlie Byrd, and Herb Ellis, and Federico Malaman—a bassist and electric double bassist who is among Italy’s most virtuosic and popular musicians, with collaborations ranging from Elio e le Storie Tese to Mario Biondi. Composed of selected students from the Jazz Department at Saint Louis and from Italian and European conservatories, they will make their debut on the stage of the Casa del Jazz to present their project, which was conceived and developed during a week of intense creative work at Saint Louis. The tour will then continue on to European destinations such as Aalborg, Helsinki, and Antwerp.

“European Jazz’s Cool” is an innovative, high-level advanced music program in the field of jazz with European significance, conceived by Saint Louis; a full immersion experience for professional and artistic development within a recording and concert environment of broad international scope.
