INK 2026, symphony orchestra concert of film music, original compositions and soundtracks at Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome.

Ink 2026, fragments, sounds and images from the Saint Louis Factory in Rome. Sound and visual suggestions performed by theSymphony Orchestra, conducted by M° Gianluca Podio and M° Adriano Melchiorre, together with young composers from the academic courses in Composition and Film Scoring at Saint Louis College of Music.

What is INK

INK is the concert conceived and produced by Saint Louis College of Music that connects images and orchestral sound, involving students from the Rome Department of Composition in writing original music for film.

Over time, INK has established itself as a space for experimentation and research, capable of enhancing new narrative languages and taking music for images out of traditional educational contexts and into a performative dimension that is open to the public.

The new format of INK 2026

With INK 2026, the project evolves and expands, integrating different arts into one creative process. The new edition is developed through the contest INK26, which involved filmmakers, videomakers and visual artists in proposing subjects for short silent films. The selected projects became complete works, soundtracked with original music composed by students of the Department of Composition and Film Scoring.

For the first time, artists from outside Saint Louis enter into direct dialogue with the composers, resulting in a creative confrontation between direction, image and music. The works will be presented during INK 2026 with live orchestral performance on the stage of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone.

During the evening, a qualified jury will award the INK26 Award to the best work.

The event will also be accompanied by the conduction by Anna Charlotte Barbera who will guide the audience on the journey through images, music and words.
