The Libera Orchestra del Jazz Italiano will perform live at the Baths of Caracalla on July 20, featuring special guest Marco Siniscalco on bass, as part of the Jazz & Image festival

On Monday, July 20, 2026, the Libera Orchestra del Jazz Italiano will headline the Jazz & Image festival with a concert scheduled to take place in the picturesque setting of the Baths of Caracalla in Rome. Also on stage with the big band was bassist Marco Siniscalco, the evening’s special guest.

Founded in 2019, the Libera Orchestra del Jazz Italiano is a 14-member ensemble led by Gabriele Ceccarelli, Filippo Minisola, and Matteo Rossi, all graduates of the Saint Louis College of Music. In just a few years, the ensemble has established itself as one of the most interesting orchestral groups on the Italian jazz scene, distinguishing itself through an original repertoire and compositions that highlight the dialogue between tradition and contemporary styles.

The concert at the Baths of Caracalla also provides an opportunity to present the ensemble’s debut album live: a six-track album that brings together the best of the orchestra’s first five years of activity. The repertoire includes original compositions by the three conductors and founders, alongside pieces by other leading figures in the national jazz scene.

The special guest of the evening will be bassist Marco Siniscalco, who wrote all the songs on Side A ofthe album’s vinyl edition. The album is also available as a limited-edition vinyl release on the saintlouis.eu website.
