For Museum Night 2026, Saint Louis is participating with Music Among Masterpieces, three ensembles at Palazzo Braschi on the night of May 23.

Saint Louis College of Music brings music to museums with “Music Among Masterpieces,” a special Museum Night 2026 event at Palazzo Braschi. Three vocal and instrumental ensembles from Saint Louis will perform on the evening of May 23, from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., presenting innovative arrangements of pop songs, songwriting and Latin music.

Music among art masterpieces

The Pop Choir directed by Margherita Flore, the Singer-Songwriter Choir directed by Maria Grazia Fontana and Giovanni Imparato’s Salsa Labwill traverse historic spaces with songs ranging from the international pop repertoire to Italian singer-songwriter songs, to Afro-Cuban traditions and jazz, dialoguing with art masterpieces. An immersive experience that fuses musical language with cultural heritage, confirming the institution’s commitment to promoting new forms of artistic enjoyment.

The three Saint Louis formations

• Coro Cantautore, directed by Maria Grazia Fontana, reinterprets the classics of Italian songwriting through fresh and contemporary vocal elaborations, keeping the poetic soul of the songs intact (performance h 8:30 pm).
• The Pop Choir, directed by Margherita Flore, presents original arrangements of national and international pop repertoire, characterized by innovative harmonic and rhythmic solutions (performance h 22:00)
• The Salsa Lab, directed by Giovanni Imparato, brings the overwhelming energy of world music and Afro-Cuban traditions, with engaging rhythms and Latin-jazz repertoire enriched by a strong percussive component (performance h 23:30)

Through an essential and intimate setting that enhances both the performers and the historic spaces of the Palazzo Braschi, Music Among Masterpieces creates an immersive experience in which music and artistic heritage come together. Each lineup contributes to weaving a varied mosaic of sound, capable of moving from refined choral pop to the infectious energy of salsa, from the immortal Beatlesian force to the depth of songwriting, to the most authentic language of jazz.
