Italian preview of new Fender DAW at Saint Louis

The Feb. 6, the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome is hosting an exclusive masterclass dedicated to music production and sound management in the studio and live, with a special focus on theItalian preview of the new DAW Fender Studio Pro, presented to the public for the first time. After the Rome event, the masterclass will also continue at the Saint Louis venue in Milan on Feb. 26.

The masterclass will be conducted by. Franco Fraccastoro, BDM Fender Studio / PreSonus and music producer, specializing in integrated audio production systems and technologies for live and studio and by Jurij Gianluca Ricotti, Grammy-nominated producer, sound engineer, musician and trainer, with international experience in professional production, mixing and mastering.

An event designed for producers, sound engineers, musicians and music students who wish to delve into integrated professional workflows, from sound creation to advanced digital mixing management.

Masterclass Program

The masterclass is divided into two complementary parts, designed to provide a comprehensive view of modern professional audio ecosystems.

Part 1 – Fender Studio Pro: music production and new audio interfaces.

The first part will be dedicated to the official presentation of the new DAW Fender Studio Pro, for the first time in Italy, along with the first sound cards ever produced by Fender, within a complete production workflow.

During this session, the following will be explored in depth:

  • Fender Studio Pro – overview of the software and its main features
  • Eris studio monitors – precise listening for a balanced and detailed mix
  • Fender Sound Interfaces – presentation of new sound cards and their applications
  • Full integration-how to combine hardware and software for an efficient and versatile setup
  • Tips and best practices – practical advice from certified trainers to get the most out of your tools

The session will include live demonstrations and examples from projects featured on Billboard, with space for direct discussion with faculty.

Part 2 – The Digital Mixers: PreSonus StudioLive SE

The second part of the masterclass will be devoted to the PreSonus StudioLive SE digital mixers, with a focus on use in live, studio and hybrid contexts.

Topics addressed will include:

  • Workflow – How to make the most of the mixer interface and architecture.
  • Scenes & Presets – Saving and recalling settings for different live or studio situations.
  • Advanced routing – Flexible input/output management and use of AVB network.
  • DSP and Integrated Processing – Onboard equalizers, compressors and effects.
  • Controller – How to use the mixer to control DAWs, Fender Studio Pro, Pro Tools, Logic etc.
  • UC Surface & App – Remote control via tablet, smartphone and computer.
  • Integrated recording – Use of Capture and Studio One for multitrack recording.
  • Live best practices – Practical tips for concerts, events and sound installations

This session will also conclude with a Final Q&A, to explore specific concerns and applications.

The masterclass is free and open to students, Saint Louis alumni and outsiders by reservation (subject to availability)
