The Rosario Giuliani Hammond Trio will take the stage at the Casa del Jazz in Rome on October 11 as part of “Una striscia di terra feconda,” a festival conceived and directed by Paolo Damiani and Armand Meignan, with the Saint Louis College of Music serving as an official partner for the 2026 edition.

A project that began in the classrooms of Saint Louis College of Music and came to life on stage thanks to the convergence of experience, training, and creativity. The Rosario Giuliani Hammond Trio is the result of an artistic journey developed under the guidance of Maestro Rosario Giuliani, one of the most influential saxophonists on the Italian and international jazz scene, as well as a professor of saxophone in the academic programs at Saint Louis in Rome. The other members of the group— Angelo Pettineo, Paolo Calzuola, and Gianmario Bonanomi— are all graduating students in the Jazz Department at Saint Louis College of Music.

The concert features a repertoire that alternates between original compositions by Rosario Giuliani and a selection of traditional jazz standards, reimagined through original arrangements designed for an ensemble that highlights the warm, unmistakable tone of the Hammond organ—an instrument that symbolizes the history of jazz, soul, and blues.
