Saint Louis Club Festival, Matteo Carlini and Sasha Mashin, special guest of Saint Louis jazz ensemble at Alexanderplatz in Rome

The April 27 evening that opens the Saint Louis Club Festival – four evenings of jazz at the Alexanderplatz Jazz Club – features, on stage along with jazz ensembles formed by students of the academic courses Saint Louis, special guests Matteo Carlini and Sasha Mashin.

Matteo Carlini, bassist and double bassist, has collaborated with artists such as Alex Britti, Serena Autieri, Fiordaliso and Marisa Laurito, touring from 2007 onward. Jazz drummer Sasha Mashin, in 2005 participated in the U.S. “Open World” educational program in New York, performing with jazz legends such as Clark Terry, Kenny Barron, and Jimmy Heath, and since 2008 has traveled around the world with Isfar Sarabski’s band.

The two artists will take the stage as the evening’s special guests, along with ensembles formed by the students of the Bachelor and Master of Arts in Jazz from Saint Louis.
