Homage to Fellini

INK 25. A symphonic journey into the imagery of Federico Fellini directed by student composers from Saint Louis College of Music.

The art of Federico Fellini lives again in an extraordinary evening that blends music, cinema, dance and fashion: INK25 returns to Rome’s Auditorium Parco della Musica “Ennio Morricone” with an even richer edition, part of the AFAM Grand Tour Project, of which Saint Louis is a partner, in collaboration with RUFA Rome University of Fine Arts – project leader – , STM – School of Musical Theater and AI – Italian Academy.

17 Film Music Composers (Saint Louis), 17 Directors (RUFA), 4 Dancers (STM), a Fashion & Costume and Photography Team (Accademia Italiana), all together on the Auditorium stage for a truly unique concert.

An orchestra on stage

Protagonists of the event will be 17 film music composers, students of Saint Louis’ academic courses in composition and film scoring, who will conduct a symphony orchestra in the performance of their original compositions inspired by Fellini’s dreamlike universe together with M° Gianluca Podio and M° Adriano Melchiorre. Their creations will give voice and breath to 17 short films made by RUFA students, screened during the evening for an unprecedented immersive experience.

An interweaving of the arts to tell the story of Fellini

To make the journey into the great director’s imagination even more evocative, STM dancers will transport the audience in the auditorium from the very beginning into a Fellini-like atmosphere, thanks also to the costumes and makeup curated by the students of Accademia Italiana, who will bring the film iconography of the five-time Oscar-winning director to the stage.

Everything will be documented by a photo reportage by the Fashion & Costume and Photography Team of Accademia Italiana, with shots stolen behind the scenes and during the event, to capture the essence of this artistic fusion.
