This is how the singer-songwriter introduces her new single: “Open Eyes” is a song that has the power to keep me suspended, and it is a feeling of “stalemate” that I was feeling at the time it was born, but that I understood only after I wrote and produced it. I probably only knew it subconsciously and wanted to atone for that feeling.

I think it is the result of the contrast between truth and lies, the one in the light of the other leaves one speechless with burning disappointment.

Perhaps it is too philosophical and a bit romantic as a concept, but I believe that emotions and feelings, which we give ourselves the opportunity to feel, make us deeply free.

From this belief comes the lyrics of the song in which I associate them with an image of open, green fields without obstacles. A valuable space that allows you to express yourself, where you can say anything because it is simply how you feel.
We should see them, welcome them and accept them because they define us, dictate our actions and make us real. They open our eyes and make us see reality for what it is.

Open Eyes was also born out of the recognition of a reality that was not as I had always believed and that I wanted to silence, because you know it is easier to sweep the dust under the rug.

But when we do not externalize our feelings and emotions for fear of hurting or disappointing someone we are actually hurting and disappointing ourselves, putting a big boundary between you and others.

The weight of lies and the “unspoken” create walls and chains. Invisible walls divide us and chains trap us. They breed feelings such as anger, which, unexpressed, is like lava flowing under an apparent calm. A balance I tried to maintain for a long time, but it only amplified the negative.

By singing open eyes I get rid of some bitterness and regain confidence.”
More in sonic detail, the song opens with a delicacy that invokes introspection, a minimal arrangement that leaves room for the voice and creates a sense of vulnerability.

The vocal line is expressive and warm, with emotional overtones that convey a deep connection with the text. The voice then predominates by bringing attention to each word and creating veiled “vocal carpets” in the background.
The production is intimate and organic, the instruments that come in, first the bass, then the acoustic guitar, kick drum and snare drum, the electric guitar, create an accompaniment that does not overpower but supports, holds suspended.

Alice Favaro is an artist who embodies the meeting of tradition and innovation, a singer-songwriter who fuses classic Italian songwriting with the most modern and electronic sounds.

His musical journey, which began in his teens, is a journey of discovery and personal expression through a hybrid sound that mixes acoustic and electronic. His music feeds on authentic emotions, exploring the freedom to express and share his feelings with the audience.

His songs are born out of deep self-searching and a desire to communicate sincere emotions, using music as a means of exorcism and sharing.

His tracks, featuring synth basses, drum machines, and synthesizers, reflect a continuous evolution and artistic growth that are intertwined with his educational journey, first with the release of his singles (starting in 2019), and then with his move to Rome in 2020 to pursue an academic degree at Saint Louis College of Music.

Currently, Alice is working on an EP that synthesizes this artistic and personal growth, with artistic direction and production by Dario Jacque, in collaboration with Saint Louis Music Production. This project represents a new stage in his career, a sign of how his music is becoming increasingly enriched with awareness and freedom of expression.
