Course presentation masterclass in Milan

Beginning in January, Saint Louis is offering several free masterclasses to introduce the highly specialized Jazz and Pop-Rock courses starting at the Milan location.

An excellent opportunity to meet the faculty, discover the new highly specialized courses and all the new educational innovations that inaugurate the opening of the new location at the Bodio Center in Milan.

This is the schedule of meetings:

  • January 18, h 14:00 – 17:00 – Creative Guitar trio with Bebo Ferra, Furio Di Castri, Stefano Bagnoli
Through analysis and performance of compositions of gradual difficulty, led by an exceptional trio, the rhythmic and dynamic aspect, interplay, development of solo parts and harmony will be analyzed, in a formation in which the guitar is both soloist and instrument deputed to handle harmony.
  • Jan. 27, h 14:30 – 16:30 – Guitar becomes Orchestra with Maurizio Colonna
When we play individual parts of a pop arrangement with the guitar, we enter a unique sound world. Then when a polyphonic synthesis is made with the guitar, in which in addition to the theme and harmonic parts, the groove of the rhythm section is reproduced, the guitar becomes an orchestra.
  • Jan. 31, h 15:00 – 17:00 The Keyboardist of the Third Millennium with Alberto Tafuri
A famous and eccentric singer, a fine arranger, a visionary producer, an up-and-coming band. Here are your next clients, or if you prefer, your next fellow travelers: make your playing unique by drawing inspiration from the great Pop/Rock keyboardists and shape your own style!
  • Feb. 2, h 14:00 – 16:00 The Other Guitar Rock with Gianni Rojatti
From Punk style to Reggae, through Alternative/Grunge and Post Rock, through the creative use of effects: from a decorative element to a structural element of sound.
  • Feb. 2, h 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Drum & Bass with Daniele Chiantese and Lorenzo Feliciati
Highly specialized workshop intended for bassists and drummers, aimed at perfecting their aptitude for section work and management of technical and interpretive practices on stage and in the recording studio.
  • Feb. 8, h 12:00 -14:00 Studio Guitar with Davide Aru
The course aims to stimulate the guitarist’s creativity, in a context of realistic simulation of studio work, with the goal of making him or her autonomous in the production of the sound of their own guitars, and beyond.
  • Feb. 8, h 14:00 – 17:00 – Jazz Trio with Dado Moroni, Furio Di Castri, Stefano Bagnoli
Joined by the three jazz musicians, you will embark on a journey through the history of jazz, combining rigor and creativity, technique and experimentation, analysis and instinct, to shape the creativity and personality of each performer.
  • Feb. 28, h 15:00 – 17:00 The Art of Trio with Luca Mantovanelli, Lorenzo Feliciati, Elio Rivagli
