Individual bass lessons with GIORGI SAMSONADZE

GIORGI SAMSONADZE, April 8-12, 2024 Saint Louis will host four faculty members from the Jazz department of Tbilisi State Conservatoire, an Erasmus+ partner institution

Sopio Murusidze (vocals), Zura Ramishvili (piano), Giorgi Samsonadze (double bass), Giorgi Melikishvili (drums).

One-hour one-on-one lessons open to students in the Three-Year and Two-Year Programs in Jazz Bass / Double Bass with Giorgi Samsonadze.

Jazz musician, lecturer and painter. Following in her parents’ footsteps, she pursued her academic training at the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts, majoring in painting from 1998 to 2004.

His passion for music was born at the age of 13, when Giorgi chose guitar as his first instrument and then switched to bass guitar.

Over the years, he has collaborated with prominent Georgian musicians such as composer Nukri Abashidze (2000), Gia Rakviashvili (2001-present) and the renowned rock and roll band “Vakis Parki” (2000-2022). Since 2005, Giorgi has been playing in the Tbilisi City Hall Orchestra “Big Band.” He also performs in various ensembles such as “Wakho Jorjholiani Blues Band,” “Reso Kiknadze Quartet,” “New York – Tbilisi Connection Trio,” “Rooftop Underground,” and “Kakhi Jagashvili Quartet.”

Since 2011 Giorgi Samsonadze has been a lecturer in the Jazz Department of the Tbilisi State Conservatoire, contributing his expertise to the new generation of aspiring musicians.
