Music Meets Film Arts, a creative collaboration between RUFA and Saint Louis, 2025/26 edition
Music Meets Film Arts, the project that blends visual arts and music, returns with renewed creative energy and three new music videos, reaffirming the synergy between RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts and Saint Louis College of Music, two leading Italian institutions in higher education for the arts and music.
The format remains unchanged: three teams composed of RUFA filmmaking students made video clips of original songs composed and performed by three students from Saint Louis’ Jazz, Pop and Songwriting courses.
Born within the Photography Direction course of prof. Francesco Pennica, in collaboration with the course of prof. Federico Landini of Sound Design, the project involved the students of the Level II degree in Film Arts RUFA and students from the Saint Louis record production team.
Students from the two AFAM Institutes collaborated together in all stages of producing a video: from analyzing the songs to writing the concept, from choosing locations and costumes to shooting, editing and post-production. The teams then worked as professional crews, experimenting with video clip languages and techniques.
Once again the project confirms a strong international focus, with participants coming from different countries-a mosaic of perspectives that further enriches the aesthetic and musical research of each project.
The music videos will be released in July 2026 on RUFA and Saint Louis’s official channels, and the songs will be distributed on major digital music stores.
