In particular:

  • Davide Shorty, Concert Lecture.
Singer-songwriter, rapper and producer, Davide Shorty is able to combine his unmistakable soulful voice with melodies contaminated by jazz and rap. Accompanied by his band, which includes two talented Saint Louis students, Roberto Iadanza and Maria Vittoria Benigni, Shorty will share his artistic experience with Open Day participants, enriching the event with performances of songs from his own repertoire as well as songs from Italian and international pop.
  • Get closer, concert lecture with Greta Panettieri and Andrea Sammartino.
Two extraordinarily classy artists, a multifaceted voice and an orchestral piano creating fantastic rhythms and harmonies : Greta Panettieri and Andrea Sammartino’s concert lesson is a musical journey through different worlds and styles, seemingly distant, but perfectly intertwined in the common denominator of contemporary jazz language.
  • Sax ensemble with Rosario Giuliani open rehearsal.
5 saxophones and rhythm section for the ensemble directed by Rosario Giuliani with top Saint Louis jazz students, the ensemble focuses on a repertoire dedicated to the genius of Charlie Parker, offering his solos, extracted from the standards that were permanently part of his live shows, and arranged for 5 voices, along with some original pieces by Rosario Giuliani himself
  • King Crimson Project.
The capital’s most prog tribute band with teachers Giacomo Anselmi on guitar, Daniele Pomo on drums, Danilo Cherni on keyboards and student Valerio Magli (bass and vocals).
  • Sacred time with Simone Maggio and Martha Deribe.
A search in depth that resonates with the piano/voice duo’s common intent to bring music into a celebratory, sacred plane, to try to connect with a dimension where it is souls and not minds that resonate together.
  • Lorenzo Feliciati Deep 4tet with Lorenzo Feliciati, Daniele Chiantese, Roberto Iadanza, Federico Caruso.
A music that was born and developed around the concept of fusion: between styles, sounds and … “roles.” Yes, because two “historical” Saint Louis faculty members, Feliciati and Chiantese, with many years of experience in the important and delicate role of growing and developing talent, decided to move vertically, rather than horizontally, that is, by going out and finding the right “colleagues” with whom to share a project among students, rather than among fellow faculty members. A quartet that will make interaction its signature style, in a performance full of surprises and stimulation.
  • Circle Impro with Marta Capponi.
Interactive workshop dedicated to singers of all levels and genres. The Circle is a safe space to explore one’s voice without judgment. The nature of the Circle enhances the energy of the collective and creates space for creativity in real time, paving the way for spontaneous compositions. Emphasis is placed on improvising with voices, releasing bodies from tension to create a true body-voice-emotion connection that makes it easier to enter the realm of improvisation.
