Playing Memories, new selections for artists and perfomers

Selections open for artists and performers to take part in the “Playing Memories” project, dedicated to creating multidisciplinary performance art in different international cities.

The Playing Memories project aims to enhance Italian cultural and artistic heritage by revisiting and updating various Italian musical repertoires.

The art residencies and performances will be documented by a TV crew to make a two-season TV docu-series, consisting of 24 total episodes, distributed on a prestigious international streaming platform.

You can apply either as a leading artist (by responding to the Call for Artists) or as a performer (by responding to the Call for Performers). It is also possible to apply and be selected for both categories.

Specifically, the call for artists selects leading artists (dancers, musicians, visual artists, photographers, set designers, etc.) to lead creative teams in the international art residencies of the Playing Memories project.

The artist leader will be responsible for devising the theme of the residency and will be responsible for guiding a group of 8-15 performers (dancers, musicians, visual artists, photographers, etc.) through a collaborative creative journey. Together, they will create an original multidisciplinary performance combining different art forms, from visual art to music, dance and set design.

The call for perfomers aims to select dancers, musicians, visual artists, music producers, photographers, set designers, choreographers and other artistic categories to participate in artistic residencies.

Between 70 and 100 artists will be selected to join creative teams in art residencies. Performers will work side by side with leading artists to create and stage multidisciplinary performances.
Each 15-day residency will culminate in a final performance, documented for an international TV docu-series.
