Saint Louis wins Lazio Sound Touring 2026 bid with “Devotion: Four Cities, One Jazz Story”
The Saint Louis College of Music is awarded the Lazio Sound Touring call with the project “Devotion: Four Cities, One Jazz Story,” an international jazz tour signed by young artist Francesca Feci. An important recognition that confirms Saint Louis’ role as an incubator of emerging talent in the national and European music scene.
The project: jazz, documentary and international tour
“Devotion: Four Cities, One Jazz Story” is a mini international tour that will take Francesca Feci’s quartet to perform in four cities between Italy and Europe.
The project is not limited to the concert dimension. Each tour stop will be documented for the creation of a live album and a documentary video, designed for major international streaming platforms. Filming will follow every phase of the experience: rehearsals, backstage, travel, and cultural exchange moments with local musicians.
Collaboration with European Conservatories
What makes “Devotion” a project of particular note is the collaborative formula behind it. Francesca Feci will not only perform with her own quartet, completed by Giuseppe Sacchi on piano, Vincenzo Quirico on double bass and Francesco Fratini on trumpet, but will be joined by selected musicians and orchestral ensembles from the host conservatories.
Original scores and arrangements will be shared in advance with partner institutions, fostering authentic artistic dialogue and active participation of local music communities. An approach that turns each concert into an international networking and professional training event, strengthening ties between the Italian and European jazz scenes.
Francesca Feci, the artist at the center of the project
Born in 2002 in Chiavenna, Lombardy, Francesca Feci moved to Rome to study voice and piano at Saint Louis College of Music, where she also received a scholarship. Her training led her to collaborate with numerous musicians on the Roman scene and participate in major productions, including the show “Fellini, the Light of Dreams,” presented at the Between Festival in Piazza Armerina in July 2024.
The tour is connected to the release of his first record album, titled precisely “Devotion”: a work of pop-jazz characterized by intimate atmospheres and delicate orchestrations, with themes exploring hope, gratitude and inner light.
Winning the Lazio Sound Touring call with the Devotion project testifies to Saint Louis’ ability to generate not only training, but also quality artistic production capable of competing and establishing itself in international music circuits.
