Saint Louis participates in “The Journey of the Olympic Flame” alongside ENI, for the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games
Saint Louis College of Music is among the protagonists of the project “The Journey of the Olympic Flame”, the traveling tour promoted by ENI, which, with more than seventy stops throughout Italy, will accompany towards the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. A constantly moving Olympic convoy, a symbol of energy, passion and sportsmanship, combining music, art and performance in one exciting celebration of Italian talent.
Along selected stops of the tour, Saint Louis will be featured with the Saint Louis Snare Madness ensemble, directed by teacher and drummer Gianni Di Renzo: a drum line of young musicians and percussionists-all Saint Louis alumni and graduates-who will transform the streets into open-air stages, bringing rhythm, spectacle and creativity in perfect tune with the Olympic spirit.
Their touring performances, with strong rhythmic and visual impact, represent the musical soul of the project, blending technical precision, coordination and expressive power into a universal language capable of engaging audiences of all ages.
The Saint Louis Snare Madness group will be an integral part of the convoy on the nine main stages:
December 06 and 07 – Rome
Dec. 17 – Gela
December 31 – Brindisi
January 04 – Ascoli Piceno
January 07 – Ravenna
January 12 – Piemonte
January 22 – Venice
February 05 – Milan
At each stage, the drum line will perform three times with shows lasting about twenty minutes, bringing a dynamic and engaging performance to accompany the passage of the Olympic Flame and its message of unity, energy, and shared passion.
