Libera Orchestra del Jazz Italiano blends orchestral sounds, contemporary jazz styles, and broader stylistic influences, creating a fluid and ever-evolving sound. Six pieces that explore different expressive directions, while maintaining a strong tonal consistency and a clear overall vision.

Life on Earth opens the project with a broad and ever-evolving form: a dialogue between melodies and orchestral developments that alternates between density and transparency, building a musical narrative that is constantly expanding.

In Caminhar , the musical material moves from a suspended introduction toward a stream of Brazilian-inspired music, in which a piano ostinato becomes the driving force behind a balance between saudade and rhythmic drive.

Heart and Sky and Largo explore the more narrative and dynamic side of the project: the former through melodic songwriting and a strong sense of orchestral groove, the latter through contrasts, sonic space, and a minimalist approach to dynamics.

Lunammare introduces a more lyrical and nocturnal dimension, based on an interplay between melodic passages and more intimate sections, while Yellow Shirt closes with a more energetic, fusion-inspired sound, driven by a sharp groove and brilliant arrangements for the horns.

The project also reflects the presence of three conductors and composers—Gabriele Ceccarelli, Filippo Minisola, and Matteo Rossi—whose distinct compositional and interpretive sensibilities contribute to a constantly evolving sound, in which the collective identity is built precisely through the diversity of individual visions.

The result is a work that balances structure and freedom, complexity and immediacy, establishing a personal and recognizable style.
