Enrico Zanisi

Coming from a family of musicians, Enrico Zanisi has practiced chamber music since the age of 8, in duo with violin, flute, trio with violin and cello, small ensemble, orchestra.

As a young boy he dreamed of becoming a rock star, only to discover jazz. He attended Roma Jazz’s Cool at Saint Louis for three years and Umbria Jazz studying with Kenny Werner, Marvin Stamm, Joey Calderazzo, Phil Markowitz, Larry Grenadier and many other jazz giants.

Meanwhile, he graduated in classical piano with highest honors from the L’Aquila Conservatory of Music under Walter Fischetti.

In 2009 he recorded his first record (Almost Too Serious, produced by Nuccia and distributed by Egea) as a trio with Ettore Fioravanti on drums and Pietro Ciancaglini on double bass.

His second album, Life Variations, as a trio with Alessandro Paternesi on drums and Joe Rehmer on double bass, is produced by Cam Jazz .

He has collaborated with Sheila Jordan, David Liebman, Andy Sheppard, Stefano Di Battista, Javier Girotto, Giovanni Tommaso, Francesco Cafiso, Ares Tavolazzi, Pietro Cianc aglini, Ettore Fioravanti, Daniele Scannapieco, Fabrizio Bosso, Anthony Pinciotti, Roberta Gambarini, Massimo Nunzi, Marco Siniscalco, Dario Deidda, Gabriele Mirabassi.
