Francesca Tandoi began her artistic life at a very young age in Rome. At the age of eight she took up classical piano study, and by her teens she began to develop an interest in jazz, becoming a big fan of Oscar Peterson and other swing piano virtuosos of her generation.
He has attended seminars given by Barry Harris, Mulgrew Miller, Brad Mehldau.
In 2009 he moved to the Netherlands where in 2013 he graduated with special mention from the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.
In 2015, he concluded his academic studies by earning a master’s degree at the Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam.
Thanks to his acknowledged skill, he immediately became part of the Northern European jazz scene, collaborating with some of the greatest Dutch and international artists.
In Holland he has the opportunity to participate in numerous jazz festivals, some among them the “North Sea Jazz Festival,” “Bosendorfer Gala,” “Jazz Festivals in Breda,” Maastricht, Amerfoort, etc.
At the same time as her intense activity as a “sideman” she developed her own artistic path by starting a number of ensembles under her own name, presenting herself to the public not only as a virtuoso pianist but also in the guise of an excellent singer.
His elegant touch and innate swing mean that famous pianists such as Tamir Hendelman and Monty Alexander are pleasantly impressed with his musical qualities.

She has performed with increasing success throughout the Netherlands, and has taken her music to numerous jazz clubs and festivals in Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, France, Greece, Japan, Indonesia, India, Singapore, and Malaysia.
He has also played in many of the most famous Italian jazz clubs and festivals such as “Lucca Jazz Donna,” “Terni International Jazz Meeting,” “Auditorium Parco della Musica, ” “Villa Celimontana” and others.
He has collaborated and collaborates with some of today’s leading exponents of traditional jazz such as Joe Cohn, Scott Hamilton, Leah Kline, Madeline Bell and many others.
He has to his credit, for a famous Japanese label, two interesting CDs with his trio, “For Elvira” and “Something Blue.”
Her projects, in addition to Italian ensembles, include the “Francesca Tandoi European Trio” with Dutch drummer/vibraphonist Frits Landesbergen and double bassist Frans Van Geest.
