Saint Louis Event in Turchia

Il Saint Louis sarà presente al Kazim Kazebir Cultural Centre di Istanbul, Turchia.

Venerdì 11 aprile per una giornata di Orientamento ai corsi accademici di Jazz, Pop, Music Production, Sound Engineering, Composizione e Musica Applicata.

Una giornata ricca di eventi per scoprire l’offerta formativa del Saint Louis nelle sue sedi di Roma e Milano. I docenti del Saint Louis offriranno incontri di orientamento e workshop, mentre lo staff internazionale Saint Louis illustrerà tutti gli step per iscriversi e frequentare i corsi di musica in Italia.

La giornata si concluderà con una performance live dei docenti sul palco e a seguire, una jam session finale aperta a tutti, per cui gli allievi musicisti sono invitati a portare con sé il proprio strumento.

  • Professor GIOVANNI CANDIA  – WORKSHOP for Guitar Players
    Nurturing the Improvisational Spirit on the Guitar
    The masterclass focuses on ear-based improvisational development, guiding guitarists through the exploration of both melodic and harmonic language. Emphasis is placed on intuitive listening, real-time creativity, and the spontaneous interaction between ear, mind, and instrument.
  • Professor MARTA CAPPONI  – WORKSHOP for Vocalists @ DANCE SALON
    The Circle Impro is a workshop opened to all singers of any level and any genre.
    The Circle is a safe space to explore our voices without any judgment. The nature of the Circle it enhances the energy of the collective and makes space for real-time creativity opening the way to spontaneous compositions.
    The emphasis is placed on improvising with our voices, freeing our bodies from tensions to create a real connection body-voice-emotion that makes it easier to step into the improvisation realm.
  • Professor GABRIELE CECCARELLI – WORKSHOP for Piano Players @ MAIN STAGE@ MAIN STAGE – Beyond the Chord Symbols: Reharmonization and Effective Voicings
    The piano’s vast range and orchestral-like texture make it an ideal instrument for exploring complex harmony. But with great possibilities come great responsibilities. Achieving richness without muddiness requires careful attention to voice distribution, interval choices, and voice leading. This workshop will guide students through progressively advanced reharmonization techniques while ensuring that their harmonic choices translate into clear, balanced, and expressive voicings on the instrument.
  • Professor SERGIO BACHELET – Applied Music WORKSHOP @ RECORDING STUDIO
    Toward electronic horizons – Music for film between tradition and innovation”
    The project is structured for students who want to learn and explore how new technologies are strongly integrated into modern and film music composition. Through topics ranging from electronic music synthesis to classical composition, via audiovisual analysis, the impact that new technologies and tools have on compositional techniques will be highlighted.

  • Professor MANUELE LA PUCA  – Composition WORKSHOP @ RECORDING STUDIO
    The right music for the right video
    In this 1-hour workshop, you will witness the live creation of a soundtrack for a tv commercial.
    You will discover how music can influence the atmosphere and message of a video, and how to choose the right melody, rhythm, and instruments to achieve the desired effect.
  • Professor STEFANO VESTRINI  – Rhythm WORKSHOP @ MAIN STAGE
    Drums and Percussion Teamwork
    How do we make the beats groove when drums and percussion are playing together? And what about when there’s more than a drummer and more than a percussionist?
    Through the listening of various Folk music and various practical examples we will find out many ways of layering and orchestrating drums and percussions when played together, in a wide range of musical contexts and situations.
    An in-depth look of a much-overlooked feature of the arranging music. We will find out how timbrical choices can affect how the beat is perceived and how important is the teamwork in the context of more percussions playing together.
  • Professor FABRIZIO CUCCO  – WORKSHOP for Bass Players @ ATELIER
    Groovin’ the chords: how to make the bass sing over chords
    We will use our knowledge of harmony to build basslines in various genres
    Hints on how to build simple melodic lines
