Dean Bowman

Hailed by the LONDON GUARDIAN as “soulful, charismatic and technically brilliant…a star,” Dean Bowman is internationally renowned for his “somber baritone and ripping falsetto…a spectacle” (VILLAGE VOICE).

Undoubtedly a major contributor to the New York City jazz, rock, and avant-garde scene, he is a very talented and successful vocalist and performance/recording artist.

Dean Bowman has been described alternately as a “vocal mentalist,” “poet of sound,” “avant-garde gospel singer,” and a “jazz singer with the soul of a rocker,” for his work with Don Byron on “Do The Boomerang,” the music of Junior Walker (BLUE NOTE/EMI), as well as for touring the music of Ray Charles with John Scofield.
