He is a drummer, percussionist and composer. He graduated as a percussion teacher from the Gilardo Gilardi Conservatory in La Plata, under the guidance of Professor Guillermo Díaz Bruno.
Born in Santa Fe in 1974, music was always present in his home, where music nights were often organized between his uncles and his father, who passed on to him the enthusiasm and love for music, particularly our folklore.
At the age of 16, he made a very natural decision to study music, and in order to do so, he entered the conservatory, where there was no drumming course, as everything was geared toward academic music. However, he connected by playing the drum, mainly for reasons related to technique and reading. There he approached the performance of other orchestral percussion instruments, such as timpani, xylophone, vibraphone, etc.
During his fourth year of study, he began taking private drum lessons with such La Plata teachers as Hugo Marino and Rubén Duca, with whom he learned rhythm perception and musical interpretation.
He has been a member of the Teatro Argentino’s stable orchestra in La Plata, the National Symphony Orchestra, and the Teatro Colón Academic Orchestra, with which he toured Europe in 2000. He was also part of the De La Guarda theater company and other musical projects such as the Banda Hermética, the percussion group La Bomba de Tiempo, the Argentine-Catalan group “Inmigrasons,” and singer Liliana Herrero‘s band.
He has played with Juan Quintero, Luna Monti, Ernesto Snajer Trio, Abel Rogantini, Teresa Parodi, Trevor Exter, Steinar Rackness, Yusa, etc., among others.
Together with Ana and Marcos Archetti he forms Trío Familia and since 1999 has been part of Aca Seca Trío, a group with which he has released three CDs and a DVD.
With this group they were chosen as one of ten figures in the folklore group category by the Konex Prize and have toured Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Chile and recently Italy, France, Spain and China.
He is a recognized teacher of the instrument, regularly giving lectures and workshops around the country.
His musicality and the way he doses his art into a song make him a special drummer with refined taste and a unique touch.
