Marty Fridman

Marty Fridman at the age of 14, after attending a KISS concert , Friedman picked up the guitar, and was largely self-taught.

He rushed to form a band and started playing original songs, the reason being that original songs are easier to play than covers. “Because,” he says, “even if you are wrong, you simply affirm that the song is written that way and no one can challenge you.”

Martin Adam Friedman is an American guitarist, best known for being the lead guitarist for the thrash metal band Megadeth from 1990 to 2000.

He is also known for playing together with Jason Becker in the Cacophony from 1986 to 1989, as well as for his 13 solo albums and tours.

Friedman has resided in Tokyo since 2003, where he has appeared on more than 700 Japanese television programs such as Rock Fujiyama , Hebimeta-san , Kōhaku Uta Gassen and Jukebox English .

Marty Fridman has released albums with several record labels, including Avex Trax, Universal, EMI , Prosthetic and Shrapnel Records .
