Appreciated for his speed and technique, Paul Gilbert is best known for playing for several years in Racer X as well as for being among the founding members of Mr. Big, which he left in 1996 to devote himself primarily to his solo career.
Over the years he has collaborated with Joe Satriani and John Petrucci on the G3 project, with George Lynch and Richie Kotzen for the Guitar Generation Tour, and many others.
Paul Gilbert was ranked 4th by GuitarOne in its list of the greatest shredders of all time, while Guitar World mentioned him among the 50 fastest guitarists of all time.
