Percival

Percival was born in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Arts Magnet High School alongside classmates such as Erykah Badu, Norah Jones, Roy Hargrove and Edie Brickell.

After graduation, he moved to New York and participated in several Broadway shows (CATS, A Chorus Line, Mama I Want To Sing) including the Showcase version of THE LIFE in which Grammy and Tony Award-winning composer Cy Coleman (The Best is Yet to Come, Sweet Charity, City of Angels) wrote a song specifically for Percival’s vocal abilities.

He has worked as a backing vocalist for Robbie Williams, Chaka Khan, Robert Palmer, Michael Jackson, Cher, Sugar and Anastasia and many others. He has performed as an opening act for concerts by Alanis Morissette, Lauren Hill, Bryan Adams, and Skunk Anansie.

Percival is known to the general public for his memorable performances within the first season of The Voice of Germany. His record releases include the singles Never Shut Up(2013), Stripped Songs (2016) and When I was Up (2017).

Percival’s new album, “Kiling Butterflies,” is close to worldwide release, with a European tour to follow. Percival currently lives in Rome, Italy, where he is writing a musical based on an award-winning drama film.
