Steve Rosenberg

Steve Rosenberg was born in New York, studied in Paris at the Schola Cantorum, where he received the Prix de Virtuosité, and has traveled the world, both as a member of “Les Menestriers” and later as a soloist.

Rosenberg included a stint with the revivalist group Les Menestriers and solo performances of Sephardic, Baroque and Renaissance music.

Don’t miss the opportunity to hear a master at work, who combines a deep academic understanding of the material with great skill in clawhammer banjo playing.

His interest and involvement in music education is revitalizing the approach to teaching and performing recorder and early music in schools around the world.

Steve Rosenberg lives in Charleston, South Carolina, and is on the faculty of the College of Charleston.
