Stuart Hamm

Stuart Hamm, known as Stu (New Orleans, Feb. 8, 1960), is an American bassist famous for his sessions with numerous artists and for his virtuosity.

He has collaborated with Steve Vai, Frank Gambale and Joe Satriani. It was really thanks to Satriani that Hamm’s talent shone in San Francisco clubs.

To this day, he continues his collaboration with the Italian-American guitarist, both in the studio and live. Currently, Hamm is the leader of a rock-fusion band, where he demonstrates his mastery of creating innovative grooves and bass lines.
